Brow Lift

Brow Lift in Turkey - Browplasty

What Is Brow Lift?

A brow lift, also known as Browplasty or forehead lift, is a type of aesthetic procedure that involves raising drooping eyebrows and removing the deep frown lines. A brow-lift corrects sagging in the skin of the forehead, upper eyelids, and eyebrows. A forehead lift rejuvenates your face, and by removing the excess skin, it restores a more refreshed appearance.

A Browplasty can easily escalate the eyebrows and eliminate sagging skin. Eyebrow lift surgery is a plastic surgery procedure performed in medical centers around the word to elevate drooping eyebrows but also eliminate any deep worry line that run across a patient’s forehead.

Types of Brow Lift

Beauty Cosmetic Clinic’s surgeons will advise the suitable eyebrow lift type to you according to your needs.

Classic Brow Lift: The classic brow-lift, also known as coronal eyebrow lift, involves one long cut beginning at the level of your ears and going up around your hairline. Even if a classic browlift is not preferred by most of the surgeons, for some cases classic brow-lift can be performed to achieve the desired results.

Endoscopic BrowLift: Endoscopic browlift is less invasive than the classic brow lift since the cuts are smaller.
Endoscopic browlift leaves no visible scar, and it lifts and tightens the skin from the hairline to the eyebrows.

Temporal Brow-Lift: Temporal brow lift, also known as limited incision eyebrow lift, involves slightly longer incisions than an endoscopic browlift.

Preparing for Browplasty

Patients need to stop taking any anti-inflammatory medicines at least two weeks before the procedure. Smoking is prohibited at least a month before and after the procedure – it can have a negative effect on the body’s healing process, and ultimately it can ruin the forehead lift surgery results.

Herbal teas, green teas, vitamins, aspirin and omega 3 capsules need to be avoided at least two weeks before the brow-lift surgery.

How Is Eyebrow Lift Performed?

Before the Browplasty procedure can begin, the patient is put under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation.

There are two main techniques which can be applied to a Browplasty in Turkey:

Endoscopic Brow Lift Procedure – The endoscope is a very thin tube with a small camera on end. The surgeon will create small incisions just behind the hairline and then proceed to work through these incisions to adjust the muscle and tissue beneath the skin, effectively correcting frowns and lines on the forehead and elevate the eyebrows.

The endoscopic brow lift procedure is preferred by doctors as well as patients, as it is minimally invasive and the browlift recovery period is somewhat reduced.

Coronal Incision Brow-Lift Procedure – The incision spans from one ear to the other, across the top of the head. The patient’s skin is then lifted, revealing any underlying tissue. The surgeon will then proceed to make any adjustments to achieve the desired result. The coronal incision scar is hidden in the patient’s hairline.

The area is then wrapped in bandages, and the browlift procedure is over.

Brow Lift Recovery

The average browlift recovery period lasts between 2 and four weeks. The patient’s forehead is wrapped in bandages to avoid infection but also to reduce bruising and swelling.

In around two weeks the patient may return to work and normal activities, but sports and heavy physical activities need to be avoided for at least four weeks. Swelling and bruising will gradually dissipate over the course of a few region – wearing hats is prohibited during the browlift recovery period.
